Karen Tack & Alan Richardson demonstrate from Cupcakes, Cookies, & Pie, Oh My! at a Daytime Event

EVENT:  Get ready for another whimsical decorating Book from Karen Tack & Alan Richardson (authors of Hello, Cupcake! and What's New, Cupcake?), Bestselling Authors and culinary MacGyvers who transform store-bought candies, frosting, and baking mixes into stunning cupcake creations.  Here, they've expanded their repertoire to include other types of desserts (e.g., a lemon cheesecake that masquerades as nachos).  With just one trip to the grocery store, aspiring decorators of all ages can easily re-create treats from this fun Book.

AUTHORS:  Called "the cake whisperer" by Gourmet, Karen Tack is a cooking teacher and food stylist.  Her work can be seen on the covers of Gourmet, Bon Appetit, Good Housekeeping, Family Circle, Woman's Day, Martha Stewart Living, Parents, Real Simple, Nick Jr., and many others.  Fellow creator Alan Richardson has photographed dozens of Bestselling Cookbooks, and his work appears in many leading food and women's magazines.  He is the co-author of The Breath of a Wok, which won two coveted awards from the International Association of Culinary Professionals.

Guests will be able to Reserve and Purchase a healthy and tasty Lunch from The Culinary Center of Kansas City consisting of Chicken Salad with all the garnishments for $10.00 Each.  Please E-mail Maria@KCCulinary.com to Reserve your Lunch.   Their Executive Chef Matt Chatfield will give a Truffle Demonstration after the Presentation and assist Guests in rolling and tasting their own Truffle!

 ADMISSION PACKAGE (ADMITS ONE):  $25.00 plus Sales Tax includes One Author Autographed Softcover of Cupcakes, Cookies, & Pie, Oh My!, one Stamped Admission Ticket.  If you'd like to pick-up your Order at the door of this Event, choose In-Store Pick-Up as your shipping option and add in the Notes field that you'd like At-Event Pick-Up.  Your Order will be held under your name at Will Call.  The cut-off time for online ordering is 2:00 PM the day before this event.

EVENT FORMAT:  Karen Tack & Alan Richardson will demonstrate four projects from their new Book and answer audience questions.  Guests will receive a treat provided by The Upper Crust and a gift from The Culinary Center of Kansas City.  A Booksigning follows the discussion.  A Stamped Admission Ticket is required for the Booksigning.
