ABOUT THE AUTHOR:  With twenty years law-enforcement, policing and investigative experience, Jeff W. Goodwin is the Author of Alexander’s Journey: Dum Spiro Spero.  Born in Yorkshire, England and having lived in Cumbria and Warwickshire, Jeff, his wife and two children now spend time between the United Kingdom and the Mid-West United States.  With a keen interest in history, theology and spirituality as well as being a student of martial arts since 1993, Jeff is passionate about the European and Japanese Sword.  He also shares a love for nature and wild places with his son Alexander.

ABOUT THE NEW BOOK:  Alexander's Journey: Dum Spiro Spero is a Book and Documentary DVD (including Digital Download), ISBN 9780999116401.  This is a story of a young boy's courage and positivity and a family's reluctance to accept the choices given to them.  A story of good people coming together in bad circumstances and how one small boy who loves owls and cares more for others than himself won the hearts of thousands of people all over the world.  The story tells of triumph over adversity, the kindness of strangers and how life's mosaic comes together when all, including faith, appears lost.

Alexander Goodwin is a young British boy who has a passion for nature, science and conservation.  Christmas 2015 at just eight years of age he began struggling with constant leg pain.  He was misdiagnosed for six months until finally being told he had a rare form of cancer of the pelvis and right leg.  By that time, in constant pain and deteriorating rapidly, Alexander was confined to a wheelchair.  Being informed in October 2016 by Doctors in England that he may have just months to live and any surgery would reduce the quality of his time left, his father Jeff W. Goodwin, a Police Officer in the U.K reached out to his brothers in blue across the Atlantic.  After just a few weeks the family found themselves in America's mid-west receiving treatment from a collaboration of specialists from hospitals in two states as well as support from strangers that would create profound bonds of friendship.

This is Alexander's journey through darkness into light.

Murray the Smallest Owl by Anita Morris (AKA The Owl Lady)

About Murray the Smallest Owl:  Murray the Smallest Owl is a story about Murray the Burrowing Owl who is bullied by other birds of prey from the falconry where he lives.  Murray is left feeling sad and alone until his best friend Alexander Goodwin of Alexander's Journey helps him to recognize his individual talents.  Together they go to visit a Countess in her home in England.  Murray learns that being different is great.  This charming Book includes photographs of Murray and the different birds of prey, and of Murray with his best friend Alex.  Children learn about different birds of prey through interesting facts about the birds featured.  The Book also includes worksheets to help children to recognize their talents and to help them to learn what to do when they see or hear someone being bullied.  Murray the Smallest Owl is ideal for children of Elementary School age.

About the Author:  Anita Morris (AKA The Owl Lady) is a Psychologist based in the UK and Director of Hack Back CIC, a community organization.  She regularly works with children and adults helping them to recognize their personal value, and build self-esteem and confidence.  She works in schools and in the UK National Health Service improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people.  She is a firm believer in the healing power of nature, and a pioneer in the use of birds of prey as a conduit to personal development.  Anita met Alexander Goodwin and his family through social media 12 months ago in 2016.  Since then Anita and Alex have developed a friendship based on a love of dinosaurs, nature and birds of prey, especially Owls.
