EVENT: Jim Hamil inscribes and signs his new collection Colorado Treasures.
AUTHOR: Kansas native Jim Hamil is one of the state's most recognized watercolor artists, known for his paintings and prints of the Midwest and Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, Mo. His prints of the four seasons of KU are sold through the KU Alumni Association. Jim also is known for his illustrated books, Farmland USA, (written by his father) and Return to Kansas (written by his wife), which Sens. Robert Dole and Nancy Landon Kassebaum have used as gifts to represent Kansas. Jim graduated from KU in 1958 with a degree in fine arts. Throughout his professional career, he has received many awards for his work including a Kansas Governor’s Arts Award and the American Royal Artist of the Year Award. He is a member of the Watercolor USA Honor Society. Jim’s work is included among many private and corporate collections throughout the country.

ADMISSION PACKAGE: This event is a meet-and-greet open to the public. Jim will sign and inscribe copies of his new book Colorado Treasures purchased at this event. Colorado Treasure is available in a paperback edition for $37.50 and in a hardback edition for $49.95.
