Good Girls' Night Out with Laura Wells McKnight: Cereal for Dinner, Cake for Dessert

EVENT:  Join Kansas City entrepreneur, author, workplace consultant, mother, stepmother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, blogger, non-practicing attorney, self-proclaimed recreational pastry chef, giver to charity, socially-responsible citizen in training and lipstick's biggest fan, Laura Wells McKnight for the exciting launch of her new Book, Cereal for Dinner, Cake for Dessert: A True Story to Inspire You to Be Yourself.  This Event is Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 7:00 PM at Unity Temple on The Plaza, Sanctuary, 707 W 47th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64112.

ABOUT THE BOOK:  Cereal for Dinner, Cake for Dessert: A True Story to Inspire You to Be Yourself is no ordinary self-improvement Book.  It is as entertaining as it is inspiring, written with down-to-earth wit, compassion and enthusiasm for the challenges encountered by any aspiring good girl (regardless of her chronological age).  This Book is a true story of Laura’s adventures attempting to check the boxes for everything life seems to demand of a modern female and creating her own definition of what it means to have it all.

• Sending the youngest of five daughters to kindergarten.

• Pondering whether the bacon smell in her corner office is a sign that she should leave her job.

• Searching for the perfect shade of lipstick.

• Trying her hand at saving a tiny corner of the planet by recycling as many cans of all-natural soda as possible.

• Testing dozens of cake recipes to see how many layers a birthday cake can actually handle without crashing to the floor.

• All while striving to do good for others in as many ways as possible.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:  Laura Wells McKnight recently served as President and CEO of the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation in Kansas City, Missouri.
