Description

The Stocking Stuffer is the ultimate Christmas gift, as this sweet picture book is designed to fit perfectly in a stocking, and adds a new chapter to Christmas lore: an explanation of just how Santa manages to fill all those stockings on Christmas Eve!

'Twas the night before Christmas, when not long ago,

A tradition began that few children know . . .

It’s Christmas Eve and for the first time ever, Santa’s naughty list is empty! With a terrible blizzard raging outside, how will Santa be able to deliver Christmas magic to every single home before morning?

Meet Tinsel, the Stocking Stuffer!

A little mouse with a big heart, Tinsel is ready to be Santa’s special helper on this important night. As Santa places gifts under the tree, Tinsel stuffs each stocking with care. But what about when a stocking is missing from the mantel?

This festive story introduces a loveable new character into the classic holiday lore and celebrates spreading Christmas cheer to all.

About the Author

Holley Merriweather makes picture books for children all around the world. When she’s not reading or writing stories, you can find her baking cookies and drinking cocoa by the fire. She lives in a cozy cottage between the North and South Pole.

Born during a blizzard on Groundhog Day in Chicago, Illinois, Stephanie Graegin spent her childhood drawing and collecting fauna in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Houston, Texas. She received her BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland. She later attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, obtaining an MFA in printmaking. Stephanie now lives in Brooklyn, is still drawing, and has managed to keep her collection down to one orange cat. Find out more at www.graegin.com.

Praise For…

Merriweather tweaks beloved lore just enough to spark readers’ imaginations anew—and keep them on the lookout for a tiny mouse decked out in a Santa suit. The book’s tall, narrow trim size suggests a stocking’s shape, and Graegin’s digital artwork features a surfeit of shadowy, decoration- and present-filled backdrops, befitting the protagonists’ journey between sleepy homes in the dark of night. — Publishers Weekly
